Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv together with Erasmus Students Network organized a Martenitsa Workshop. On 28.02. Erasmus students from all the universities in Plovdiv were welcomed with a short presentation about the unique Bulgarian tradition, the legend about it and the custom of wearing martenitsa.
The students were separated in pairs and together they twisted white and red threads. In a friendly atmosphere and with lots of laughter, they made wonderful martenitsas for all their friends, which they decorated with beautiful and colorful beads. The happiest moment was when everyone gave each other martenitsas for health and luck.
