Erasmus-students from Poland, Latvia, Portugal, Spain and Greece began their Erasmus+ mobility for studies for the winter semester of AY 2024/2025 at the University of Plovdiv Paisii Hilendarski.
The orientation days, which were organised by the International Relations Office, helped for the easier adaptation of the students once again.
The International Relations Office team welcomed the incoming students at Compass lecture hall on the 26th September. They were acquainted with the history of Bulgaria and of Plovdiv, the structure and the activities of the University, the learning conditions and the rules for staying at the dormitories, as well as the opportunity to sign up for Bulgarian language courses at the University of Plovdiv. Erasmus-coordinators and their representatives attended the meeting and they gave the students more details about the educational process and the respective faculty schedules.
The International Relations Office experts showed the guests around the university buildings, libraries and centres.
The Orientation days continued on the 27th September with a walk along the main part of the city of Plovdiv. The students got to know more about the cultural and historical legacy of Plovdiv as well as the main administrative checkpoints which they may need to visit during their mobility.
On October 4th, the IRO team took the Erasmus+ students on a short road trip to Staro Zhelezare Street Art Village and Hissar where they were able to grasp more of the beauty and landmarks in the vicinity of Plovdiv.
