The International Office welcomed Erasmus+ students from eight countries to the University of Plovdiv on 27 September 2023. The program of the annual Orientation Days event organized by the Office for the newcomers took place at the University and the city vicinity.
On the first day, Dimitar Karamitev, an Erasmus+ Officer, delivered a presentation that introduced the students to the history and structure of the University, the educational process, and the life in the dormitories. The meeting was also attended by Erasmus+ Faculty Coordinators, who discussed with the students their schedules, subjects, and the possibility of studying Bulgarian language during their mobility.
The Erasmus+ volunteers navigated the students around the buildings, libraries, and specialized centers of the University.
The program of the Orientation Days continued on the 28th with a walk around the central part of Plovdiv. The students were closely acquainted with the cultural and historical heritage of the ancient city by visiting some of its most notable cultural and architectural landmarks.
The event program ended with a trip to the artistic village of Staro Zhelezare and the town of Hissarya.
