The rainy and gloomy days did not manage to ruin the mood of the new Erasmus students, who had just arrived at Plovdiv University. They eagerly awaited their first trip in Bulgaria to the town of Hisarya, which was organised by the International Relations Office team as part of their Orientation Days.

The rich history of Hisarya, intertwined with many human stories, captivated the students from the very first landmark they visited. The next stop of the walk were the Roman Baths. The fresh greenery enhanced the feeling of truly connecting with nature and the mineral springs of the town. Lively conversations and jokes accompanied the group throughout the day.

During the tour, the students had to answer multiple quizz-type questions and for every correct answer, we had a prizewinner. One of the more active participants – a student from Turkey – had already won several prizes so, as a kind gesture, she gifted one of them to another student. By the time we had to head back to Plovdiv, the group had brightened not only each other’s spirits but also the gloomy weather itself.
